Does anyone have any current pictures of the Global Transportation Hub, or if not can anyone go and take some to post? I am eager to see what it looks like now. !
I took a drive out there on Sunday and took some mental pictures, not sure how to upload them though.
There is the skeleton of another structure west of the main building. I may go for a drive out there this weekend again...and try to remember the camera.

If you have a tooth that is turning a bit blue, you should be able to upload them wirelessly. Otherwise you are screwed.
Sure would be nice to hear some news from CP and their plans for construction at the new site and when they plan on starting to dismantle the current yards downtown. The fall of 2012 is when they are planning to move operations but does that mean start to move or finish to move. Still a long ways away, can't start building a stadium with all that crap in the way!
There are 2 warehouses going up out there? Is that just Loblaw's 1 and 2 or did I miss an announcement?
I assume Loblaw's phase 1 and phase 2 would result in just one large warehouse. But clearly there's 2 separate ones from those pics.
There are two separate ones in that pic. See page six of this thread 4th image down to see the foundation of the second smaller building in the snow. Then off to the north of the "REALLY big warehouse" is the skeleton for a new one that I included a photo of.

Yeah I see there are 2 buildings. But are they both Loblaw's? And is that phase 1 and phase 2...or are both of those part of phase 1?
in the spring edition of think big sask there is a write up about the gth including where the warehouses and trucking firms are going also the new cpr lands

The second phase of Loblaw Companies' $350-million, one-million-square-foot warehouse and distribution centre is underway at 2101 Fleming Rd. about five kilometres west of the city.
The 500,000-square-foot, $200-million first phase of the distribution centre has been closed in and work is progressing on the second phase of the massive development.
Announced in July 2008, the Loblaw distribution centre is part of the global transportation hub (GTH), which will also incorporate CP Rail's intermodal facility.
The $93-million project will see the relocation of CP's container yards from Dewdney Avenue to the GTH, which is expected to begin later this year or early next year.
As CP Rail's largest customer and Canada's largest food distributor, Loblaw wanted to be located close to CP's intermodal facility.
The distribution centre will handle about 1,400 trucks per week. Initially, 500 employees will be employed by the distribution centre, which could increase to 750 within two years and 1,500 by 2017, Loblaw officials said at the news conference two years ago.
The increased traffic at the GTH site also necessitated a major highway infrastructure project by provincial Highways and Infrastructure to link Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 11.
The province is spending between $45 million and $50 million upgrading road and highways in the area in and around the GTH.
