How true, common sence should not be allowed within the stadium debate. We must keep facts and critical thinking to a minimum.

If you look up at the windows of the rooms, you could see all the beds standing up on end. I am hoping that they are just clearing them out and not cleaning them up. Something kinda smells funny about the whole deal. The logo is a complete rip off, there is no wrecking ball in sight, they are RENOVATING inside a "doomed" building.....I don't know....at least my Keg gift cards were valid.

Haha, what? You mean Calgary and Edmonton?

Didn't someone try and call them about a month ago and the number wasn't in service?? Let's hope we don't have a Lake Placid on our hands!

I am pretty sure IMO that the bottom is only being renovated for the sales office as they are not going to use the current dingy conditions to try to sell High End Suites. Having lived in Edmonton, a city of 1 million which had several condo complexes going up, I can tell you that these companies spend lots of money, even to the extreme of erecting a brand new 1 floor all decked out building, just to have a nice modern sales office to sell the condos from cause no one would want to walk in and dish out several hundred thousand for a condo sold in an old dingy bar/restaurant.

Someone should just walk over and ask the workers what they are doing. They usually don't know enough to make up a story and you get pretty good info. The phone line has an answering machine taking mesages for Capital Pointe.

There is action at noon today at the corner of 12th and Hamilton - site of the rumored Harvard office tower. Surveyors were out surveying the property from the alley on 12th around the corner onto Hamilton.

The have orange spraypaint all over the sidewalk. As you can see they have not worried about painting up the sides of the existing buildings which tells me they will soon be coming down.

I notice that the Thymes Short restaurant recently closed. I will go into Greenspot and Comic Readers in the next few days and ask them if they are moving soon.

I walked by the corner of 12th and Hamilton again. There are a lot of surveyors out as well as empoyees of PCL walking around. PCL has built nearly every Harvard tower.

Markings on the sidewalks and alley go all the way north to Jessica Bridal and includes Muddy Joe's Coffee.

I asked the owner at the Greenspot if this meant they would have to move soon. She said "probably". She said they were looking to lease space somewhere nearby.

The project is still full steam ahead. I spoke with one of the Kim family members earlier today and he informed me that there is an open house taking place within the next month. And yes the area being renovated right now in the Plains is a shortterm sales office with demolishion to take place later this summer.

Its pretty obvious that PCL is going to be very pleased with Regina for the next few years.

I noticed PCL has some signs set up at the RCMP Depot to build some new dorms. That would be another huge project for them.

I can see the RCMP Chapel in the background... is that the real orientation of it, or is just a rendering with some landmarks from the site thrown in for effect?

No that is where phase one is being built. Near the RCMP Heritage Centre parking lot near Dewdney, beside the Creek.
