I just hope that any major development east of Canada Place (e.g. the "transportation hub") includes the proposed MLS waterfront stadium.

They really stimulate the imagination.
An open-air stadium built out over the water like the Vancouver Convention Centre, with unobstructed views of the sea and mountains from the stands (whether watching a soccer game, a rock concert, a symphony performance or an international beach volleyball tournament), would be amazing and would be an iconic addition to the city waterfront.
With Stanely Park, Harbour Green, the living roof of the Convention Centre, and the grass soccer field, that part of the waterfront could constitute a beautiful fusion of urbanity and nature.
And the Canada Line (
and the West Coast Express
and the Sea Bus
and Skytrain) would take you right to its doorstep too! It is too perfect.
