@aleks: Instead of renting studio space, you could use textured solid-color backgrounds from built structures, use the colors as additional metaphor for the sin. Say something like:

I'd try and hit up the drama/theatre students, or even put up a couple of signs saying you are looking for someone and they can use any photos as portfolio material if they are looking at modeling as a career. It would be a benefit for both sides. You get some material and they potentially get a glossy 5x7 or 8x10 to add to their portfolio material.

ok another Flickr question, as if there isn't enough ...

has anybody ran into the incident where their photos were reuploaded by someone else? I just ran into that, it goes against Flickr guidelines and I reported his/her ass. But I was annoyed by that, especially considering my photo was the only photo (I forgot to mention this user reuploaded others too) that didn't have a link back to MY original. Even if there was, though, I'd still be ticked because unless one opens up the photo and scrolls down to see the description, one will assume it's whomevers accounts photo not the actual photographer (ie taking credit for something that isn't yours).

If bulliver reads these forums still, and my posts, one of your photos had the same thing.

Man, I've had a hell of a time uploading this week. Every time I tried to upload a photo, it would immediately go to 99% then stop. Today I finally remembered I had the Flickr Uploadr on my desktop, so I gave it a shot and it worked fine.

So slowly but surely I'm getting my Geneva pictures up (uploaded 7 today).

I can't decide what to do next. I have been going chronologically (with the exception of a few redone London pics when I got Lightroom), so that would mean I edit/upload Munich next, but I also have Olympic pictures from Vancouver.

So what should I do next, Munich or Vancouver?

Looks like another stealer: http://www.flickr.com/photos/himissylu/. None are my photos in this one, but other peoples. And the previous guy's deleted all the images it seems and gave me a mail saying he was doing something for the University of Alberta to show international students or people that potentially are coming to Edmonton what Edmonton looks like. Still...

Ayreonaut: honestly, I'd like to see Vancouver first, just for something different and to see how you photograph North american cities.

Yeah, I think I'll do Vancouver while the Olympic photos are still somewhat relevant.

Still have a few Geneva ones to get through yet.

I was going to suggest this last night, but fell asleep.

I'd say the guy just didn't know the rules of Flickr.

He did send you a message explaining his intentions with the photos.

I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was unaware of the fact that what he had done was against the rules.

He is, it seems, trying to promote your city, so I'd let him know the proper way to go about displaying it to whomever his audience may be (a gallery).

.
Yep. The picture of mine that he used is licensed CC-BY-SA, and he did attribute it correctly. In my case, the only thing he did wrong was break flickr's rule about uploading other people's photos.

Yeah I did reply back telling him about galleries.

I found a couple others and they've yet to do anything, and I reported it to Flickr, it appears they haven't done anything yet either.

Jesus 1ajs! That's amazing! I know Mamiya also has some phenomially high megapixels. I beg to wonder when anyone will ever need 40mp. Makes a good marketing scheme though. That viewfinder looks funny, but I'm sure it's quite useful. Just amazing...

It looks like a beast.

As long as it's got a massive sensor to go with the 40mp, I can think of many reasons professionals would want this camera.
