112 King St E | ? | 21 fl | Planning

No rendering yet.

112 King S E: The property is locally owned as the Royal Connaught Hotel and is a multi-addressed parcel of land. The intent is to build a twenty-one storey mixed use building on vacant land at the south/east section of the property formerly used for parking. A total of 164 units will be created with a total square footage of 169,700. The applicant did apply for funding under the program for the development of a west tower at the north-east corner of John and Main Streets. However the applicant does not own all lands required for the proposed development therefore does not qualify for funding for the west tower under the terms of the program. The Royal Connaught Hotel building is listed on the City's Inventory of Building's of Architectural and/or Historical Interest.

Total funding commitment from the Residential Loan Program: $3,394,000

As we already know the west tower plan got cancelled and instead London Tap House is being developed.

I predict shovels will be in the ground at this site by 2034, at which time they can start paying back the residential loan program.
