That mini documentary by Stephen Brunt on Canadian patriotism was a good watch, thanks for the tip.

its true though i have never felt so much patriotism before - random outbreaks of people singing the anthem, everyone dressed in red and white

its kinda weird to see

Lago heads home early after risque pictures on Web

http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/olympics/vanc...ug=ap-sbd-lago-picture&prov=ap&type=lgns

pics showed up on TMZ...

Quote:
Lago, who was awarded his bronze medal Thursday night, was at a party, wearing a Team USA T-shirt when somebody snapped a photo of a woman kneeling below Lago’s waist to kiss his medal. That picture, and another showing him sticking the medal in the woman’s mouth while teammate Greg Bretz looks on,

I can't believe people are dumb enough to wait 6 hours in line for 30 seconds on the zipline. You could be in LA and back in that time, add a few extra hours for Disneyland.

Had to go the Bay in DT Calgary to find Mukmuk. The Zellers I went to only had the red mittens, but had two huge bins of them.

Actually, I think CTV interviewed Amy Williams (UK gold medallist) and she said she loved the track and it was her favourite, crediting that as part of the reason why she won.

Well, the Olympics are officially big Oprah had red mittens on today, as she talked with Matt Lauer. CTV News was all over that.

I was reading some British articles about her win and they still didn't stop the Canadian bashing, throwing in that the Canadians are poor loser's because our favorite to win ended up coming 5th place and because both the U.S and Canada were concerned about the helmet Amy Williams was using gave her an advantage. The British make me sick

Well, I'll hope 2012 goes well for them. I would LOVE to go to London to see them.

I have had such an amazing time in Vancouver, I just know London will be this x5. I mean, 1.8 million tickets available, compared to 9.5 million... that's a lot of extra partygoers

Some of these tabloid newspapers just want to print crazy stories. Royal scandals, sex scandals, UFO scandals, you name it and they got a scandal. No beautiful weather and awesome atmosphere can really get them to print good news.
