I also see they have lasers on adjacent buildings as well. It's like a light show at a high end rock concert. It's awesome!

The kids got a place to stay from JetSet Sports (Vancouver 2010 sponsor), who sells hospitality packages.

Also, somehow Gregor Roberton and Chris Shaw got together to ask people to wear Gold for the Olympics to battle homelessness.

Don't ask how?

Cool!
I can't see the lasers through the mesh wrap - I'll have to head out there one night.

Global News is reporting a performer was very seriously injured during rehearsal for the Opening Ceremony.

The opening ceremonies will feature someone skiing down a massive ramp, and jumping through Olympic rings. He crashed and broke bones during rehearsal.

The line up for the ticket and exploring the outside of BC pavilion and Graville Street. I notice that the zip trek is all wrap up with BC's sceneries.

1) Ohhhh nooo!!!! That's terrible! Will they be able to find a replacement? Ugh...imagine if that happened during the Opening Ceremony on Friday the 12th.

2) BAH!!! I wish I didn't know about this....I like to know as little as possible about the ceremonies to maintain the suspense.

3) Hopefully the guy is alright.

4) Hopefully they can find a way to still continue this segment?

VANCO should make some change to this segment to make it failsafe as any performance misstep/mishap would make Vancouver look bad with millions of TV viewers watching around the world.

Then order bigger Olympic rings so that it'll be like throwing a banana through an aircraft hangar.

My hunch is that he hit the rings while in the air, it wasn't a crash landing. At Lillehammer, the a ski jumper torch bearer swooped down the 1994 Games Opening Ceremony and he had the torch in his hand:

Is translink.ca (or something) going to have waiting time postings or do I just show up for the seabus an hour early and hope that's enough?

Probably just show up and wait. Or, buy some flippers, a snorkel, and swim over faster.
