I didn't suggest it was a melting pot. And I'm not sure why Georgia Tech was interjected into the thread.
Of course, it's a public university in Georgia which is in the South - so its not astonishing that students are mostly "southern". Almost all major public universities in the US are predominately "white" so that basically goes without saying. My point was that "southern" and "white" stereotype you provided was less true about Tech when compared to almost any other major public university in the South.
I have to admit its amazing how you pull those numbers so quick. I do know there seem to be a lot more girls there now than when I attended.
