Oh thanks for reminding me, I took a number of poor photos of shangrila during that amazing evening thunderstorm with my digital camera. Luckily, three of them turned out nice.

^ i think this video was from the same event. AMAZING views from the 58th floor. you also get a great view of Patina around 0:25sec in.

Wow, nicely done Metro.

The proportions of Shangri-La really make it seem a lot taller than it actually is. Especially from that angle.

Thanks guys. Yeah, the low angle really makes the Shangri-la look dominating. It had such a nice reflection of the clouds that day I just had to film it. I hope to do more time-lapses downtown in the near future.

Has this been discussed before? It looks like some of these squares are 'switched off'. Any ideas??

do they turn on? i thought they were non turnonable just sunlight activated
