i got a newsletter today from westbank and looks like they are the ones behind the development at comox and broughton.

also, a little pat on their back but well deserved i'm sure.
"Just six months after opening,Shangri-La Hotel Vancouver was rated number one in customer satisfaction within the entire Shangri-La Hotel global family including 65 hotels and resorts."

And Hed Kandi, good job on the compilation. Two things I notice is I believe that Hilton hotel was canceled a long time ago, and the height increase for the Mark was approved on Dec 8th.

Also I think it would be cool if you added some of the lowrise infill projects that are going up allover the city, like Pulse for example.

Thanks for the update!

It's almost time to make a new thread, with that update on the front page ? The Calgary forum already has so many and we're still on #1 lol

We could call it... Downtown Vancouver Updates II!

why? unless its updated all the time it's useless. already the above list is useless. a few of those projects are finished like the Coast Hotel and Woodwards.....so why have them in there? confuse people more?

I know this may entail a lot of work but perhaps including addresses or vague locations for the developments would be a huge help! Just a suggestion

On the previous page there was some love for the Royal bank tower.
Here is the best photo I've ever seen of it!

It's from a Vancouver page on the 'My city photos' section (http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=176638)
The photo has the reference source in the corner:

It is a nice photo, but, did they remove the corporate logo?

Reminds me of this logo-less photo (except for the one added to Shangri-la)

I wish. I still think, seeing how dimly lit (and outward lit) most tower logos are, such a feature would not have been to much of a problem for the penthouse owner (who is probably never there anyways). There must be countless ways to mitigate any light from such a source from disturbing the penthouse owners. How often are they up on the fins anyways? And is the window washing crane not more a problem than a logo?

Anyways, that is up for debate, but what I want to know is, in how many other industrialized metro cities over a million does their tallest tower not have a single lighting feature on it? (No crowns, lights, logos, billboards, air plane beacons, etc..) ?
