I dont know for sure but i would imagine they are shipping items by boat and unloading at one of the many piers near the WTC site.

Not actually. They're bringing loads around western face of 7 World Trade Center(there's a road that they use for loading and unloading for that tower as well). It's wasier if they brought loads the day before unloading or place loads on staging material, such as the new fulton street or on some of the floors of the tower. It really helps speed up construction.

Cool. I didn't know the Holland had enough clearance for those large trucks, and I can only imagine that navigating them through the spaghetti bowl of tight ramps on either side is a boatload of fun.

EDIT: I was thinking of the Lincoln Tunnel. The Holland actually seems to be (kinda) truck-friendly.

SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 10 TO 15 INCHES... WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS AS HIGH AS 18 INCHES... ARE EXPECTED. SNOWFALL RATES OF 2 TO 4 INCHES PER HOUR...

It'll slow things down for a day or two.

Already have an inch on the ground as of 4pm Saturday, with strong winds here in Gladstone, NJ. (30 miles west of Manhattan)

Off to play in the snow with the girls.

Update . . . . . 7 inches of snow (178mm) on the ground blizzard conditions as of 10:50pm .

Nice shots. Looking at the webcam, it looks like they're getting close to being ready to go up again soon. Most of the supports for the next level of beams seem to be in place, and it looks like they're placing the beams (the smaller interior beams that go just inside the larger outer ones) near their respective locations.
