I'd like to see them called the Nordiques too, and wear the same jerseys, which I've always loved.

The NHL two great jerseys back-to-back with the nordiques and then the Hartford whalers. Two classic logos.

Bring back the Nords!

However, had they stayed in Quebec, they would have changed jerseys and logos for the 1995-96 season. That would have be a tragedy. They had the most kickass jerseys ever.

My delusional Winnipeg brothers on the Skyscraper forum seem to think the NHL is coming back to Winnipeg soon, I keep trying to set them straight.

I tried to interject on that thread a few months ago, but was told I didnt know anything because I'm not from Winnipeg...

15,000 seat arena just wont cut it in todays NHL, and no MTS Center is not easily expanded to reach the caliber of todays NHL arena's.

Well, Bettman DID promise that when/if the NHL starts to expand again it was going to be moving to "markets it has abandoned". Everyone seemed to take that as a hint that Winnipeg was getting a team again.

Mind you, I don't think that any show of interest from Gary Bettman should be taken with any real promise.
