I am really looking fwd to seeing the b4 and after pics from 9/11/09 to 9/11/10. It will prob be the most dramatic change since construction has started on site. The pace seems to be picking up!

Not only that, there's a new red and white Crawler Crane backing onto the steel above the PATH's concourse level. I don't know if it's for the South Pool or Tower 4, because they said that a second crane would be arriving around this time at Silverstein Properties.

How's the floor construction going to work? Week by week like One World Trade Center?

It almost seems unreal to me that things are happening here. For so long it was a pit, and now, it is rising. I'm not sure exactly how to explain myself...

It will be so strange to see the one of the tallest building in the city rise. I never got to see that in my lifetime, tall buildings just always seemed to be there. I just imagine this incredible sight of a new powerhouse arising on the skyline, with panes of glass being lifted into place, as steel rises, and men work like ants all around, a shell of activity, until one day, the structure is complete. It's incredible to think that here, there will some day be serenity, at last, after years of constant movement, which glows at night and shines in the day, a testament to human achievement.

And 1 WTC will be even better!

Yeah, tall buildings just always seemed to be there. But now, we are starting to see so many skyline altering towers under construction and taking shape. Gone will be the image of the old skyline from the last century, the new New York is taking shape right before our eyes.

As for the WTC:

Are you sure? I'd say only for Tower One now, But nothing much happened / happening on Tower 4 lately, or am I wrong?

Looks like Tower 4 is slightly On - Hold or Something.

I think I've metioned this before, but my uncle is currently working on this project (yes, he's right down there in the pit bending rebar) and according to him, everything is going ahead as projected. There is nothing to worry about.

sorry about my desperate post! it's just that there are so many threads to read and watch, and constantly get onto the preferred ones, and watch the things are going slowly, or seeing it almost looking the same for some time, get on my nerves, i just want to watch it rising fast, like i guess everybody wants to... ok, i've already read some pages back... so the thing is now between PA and Silverstain... well, hope this gets solved quickly now, and to second that great duffstuff's post, it will be our time to watch this great building and the others around, that will make some part of history stayed in our memories, for us as fans watching pictures, as for local new yorkers to watch new giants making shadows, making more cold those streets, but giving more vitality to the city, specially to this famous area... i just want to go back to nY and see all this new projects that i've been following thru these years, as i did 3 years ago, when i visited ny, and see in person projects like hearst tower...
ok, sorry again for those anoying posts about the slow progress, is just part of the frustration on not getting more height on this one... cheers..

I wasn't trying to sound mean, I literally meant you should try reading the thread. Pretty much everything that's known to the public has been discussed to death here.

I keep reading this tread over and over, but it just doesn't make any sense to me.

First it's this, then it's that, Next week it's something else. Just build the damn thing, what's so difficult?

Larry Silverstein & PA, Infrastructure bla bla bla....

What's going on?

At the end of the day, Tower 4 just seems to be another slowstarter afterall.

Isn't it just all about financings?

Remeber how Tower 4 was shooting out of the ground??

(So: One Step Forward, Two Steps Back..)

I'm Sorry, I am a Huge ''New York City Skyline Fan'', and i just want to see This Tower Rise, like everyone else does.

New Skyline has a highly valuable point! I, as a Manhattanite pay my taxes. And as a real New Yorker, I believe my city and my neighbors, my city's residents are being cheated out of valuable time and resources! Enough beating a live bush and killing it dead over and over again! I have had enough with the dead end bureaucracy and the ragingly nerve splitting politics! MY New York deserves a Lower Manhattan fitting of its global image; a beacon of hope, freedom and wealth for the world to see!
