Oh so that was the reason yesterday. I got off the 84 bus at Olympic Village to head downtown and when I got down to the platform. The normal south bound track was shut down and everyone was waiting for a train on the northbound track. The sign above the northbound track said the 3 next trains were waterfround yvr brighouse. Luckily I was heading down to waterfront and the train pulled in just as I got onto the platform. That train practically emptied and then half refilled.
On a side but related Canada Line note
I happened to be in Richmond about 1 week ago mid monday afternoon. Did what I had to do and walked over to Brighouse to get on the C-line back to Vancouver. I'm standing on the up escalator when these 2 guys ran up the escalator dashing in between people. So I figured maybe there is a train above so I started walking up fast to maybe catch it. As I'm getting near the top I hear the chime of the door closing and figure oh well I missed it. So I get to the top.
At which point I see the train still there. One guy is on the platform. One guy is on the train just inside the door. At 2 transit police are standing right there. The transit police woman is yelling really loadly at the guy on the train to get of the train now. So he stands there as if he doesn't understand (he was asian) So she literally grabbed him by his jacket and just yanked him off the train. At that point I walked past them to go stand further down the platform. And all I could here was her giving the both of them a lecture on how dangerous it is to do what they just did.
I was killing myself laughing

Serves them right.
