I'm pretty sure the red paint is intumescent fire proofing paint or a prime coat for intumescent paint. All the steel between the 3rd and 20th floors well be visible through the prismatic glass and well be back lit at night. With that said I don't think it well remain red.

Yeah I know! I'm so mad. Photobucket said that my bandwith count will reset on the 27th of the month..who knows how much progress will be made by that time. Sorry about that..

I think it's been a lot more recent, than the beginning of this year, that those giant red columns at ground level were erected. I mean from when the first one went up, they all did like wild fire afterward.

No, this is the first time the building's total height has increased since they first started erecting core steel back in like february.

The building's height has not increased, the N and S sides are catching up to the E side.

I meant that the highest point hasn't increased, if that what was meant, yes the average height has increased.

No, the highest point has increased. They put up new core steel today.

Let's just say, all in all, that the tower has risen in height since the beginning of the year, eh? Looks to be around....maybe 115 feet with the new steel?

Anyway, I snapped these pictures a few hours ago. I haven't been to the WTC in two months, but looking up at the tower was just awesome. It feels...intimidating from the ground up. There is also some serious welding going on right now.
