Thanks! I'll post one to my flickr site within the next few days.

Anyone know what the Olympic rings are doing here, in the North Vancouver waterfront??

^ i'm guessing they were manufactured/assembled or delivered there. They will eventually be shipped to Coal Harbour for installation.

Think they were just unloaded from China?

Thanks, I assumed they weren't installed there but just in temp storage.

Nice pics, man, look at how fantastic HBC looks, hopefully this will slowly push Vancouver to the understanding that wraps and billboards can actually add character and enhance streetscapes.

Agreed. It looks awesome. And the big Canadian flag on Hotel Georgia is really cool.

TONS of tourists stopping to take photos with it behind them.

They should keep those banners on HBC permanently, it looks far better than the dirty (and sometimes broken) mirrored windows that you usually see.

Agreed. I'm not so sure about keeping those banners in particular, but having different banners every season of clothes would be nice =) Let's make sure they are models from Vancouver.

Great photos guys.

I definitely agree with you. Those banners make the building look so much better. Do you know if they are going to be taken down for sure after the Olympics are done?

Everybody has been taking some amazing pictures. Beautiful shots entheosfog (HDR treatment looks great), SFUVancouver (some great angles there), Yume-sama (loving the fish-eye lens), and Locked In (love the trees)!

That shot of Broadway & Cambie by SFUVancouver stood out to me. It's a great pic of course but what struck me was how bustling that area looks in it. I really feel the Canada Line has contributed significantly to the pedestrian bustle around the station areas (at least from what I've noticed around the ones closer to the Vancouver core). As another example, here is a shot I took Saturday by Yaletown-Roundhouse Station:

And a few others from that day:

Raggedy, your pictures are so interesting!

Where did you see that rocket ship looking thing and the glass encased Beetles?

Raggedy I hope you don't mind someone else answering.

The Beetles are the art feature at King Edward Station on the Canada Line and the Rocket was part of Expo 86 and is located near the cambie St. Bridge.
