It just might be if the financing problem isn't cleared up real soon.

A heard a rumor from someone in the real estate business that the "W" has secured financing. I do not know whether this is true or not.

It's already well over halfway built... we've seen projects on MUCH shakier ground financing-wise end up being finished in Vegas, Miami, and Chicago.
The W will have no problem whatsoever. Tops out in February or earlier.

This Weekend.
Can't beat the weather this weekend. I'm sure I wasn't the only one out there taking pics. Here's a few of my contributions:
2nd Street
I'm really digging the view of downtown approaching from E. Riverside. Not a bad way to introduce visitors from the airport to our city.
From the Lamar St bridge

It looks like they are starting the 25th. They're pouring cement overnight right now. The crane should be raised again soon too.

Not too bad on the rendering, I must say! The Austonian looks taller in real life.

Its funny how you can practically draw a line across all the roof tops because they are almost all the same height

From the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge on Saturday
I posted a
photo thread
in the city photos forum. It goes more in depth with why I was on the bridge to begin with.
