They're taking it down and I believe they're making way for the proposed tower 5. The deconstruction was actually put on hold for quite a while but it's supposed to resume any day now. >>

The office floors are exactly 13 feet 1 inch with 10 foot celings.

I herd the permit issue with the 18000 was resolved on the 6th, but it was too windy to put anythig up yesterday.

And more great news - North crane has jumped...

(Although you can't see the whole crane, you can see that it jumped because its red base is now on the same height as the base of the south crane)

WOW, new column! Crane jump! This is what I'm talking about. Time to celebrate. But do you guys notice the slanted cross beams to the highest ones seen on the completed side. I guess that will be the main beams that go up on the base as seen in the renderings.

Yeah, they are. They span out and reconnect right before the 20th floor, which is the first office floor. Although I didn't expect them to be so small...

The north crane wasn't supposed to jump until december, so says the PA's timetable. I think we can expect the floor-a-week schedule by this january or around that time range. God, I love how fast this tower is moving!

PS: Notice that for the first time in years, the cranes are level again.

The north crane doesn't appear to have "fully" jumped in that picture. It's on its way though.

I don't know the technical terms, but the "tower" portion seems to extend a few levels below the top of the steelwork of the core, and there is another one of the large red pieces there. I think when the jump is finished they will remove the lower tower sections.

With the M18000 installing its first column on the west side, diagonal steel going up on the east side, and a crane jump on a weekday (a first, I think they are sending a message that big time progress is underway), yes we can celebrate!

And with with the tower crane jump, yes, the Twin Towers are back! (Ducking, running as fast as I can!)

Cool thanks, but are there a couple of larger floors then? because 13 feet 1 inch per floor 68 floors above the 186 foot base comes to about 1075 feet at the 88th floor, but the diagrams show it at least 30 feet higher than that, the top of the office portion topping off at about 1155 feet above the 90th floor.
