Hey, can we add 40 Gold to the list? It's going to be 14 floors of rentals in the FiDi. I'll post some pictures in a bit. It's about 7 stories high right now and they did their first floor pour (steel building) on Friday. I know, boring, but this is supposed to be a compendium. Also, does anyone know what's under construction on Broad St. all the way at the south end of the island? I was in the harbor and you can see the concrete core and tower crane. It may or may not ultimately be very tall, but you'll see it from the water when it's done.

Does anyone know how the new ralph lauren project on Madison Ave. at E 72nd is coming along? The project includes building a brand new 4 story beaux arts building and renovating the townhouse next door. I ave yet to see any renderings for this project however i recently stumbled upon this photo on flick taken in march of this year:

the photo is from missavictoria on flickr.com

Here is the building that used to occupy the site:

And finally a description of the project and the site's history from an NYTIMES article dating back to march of 2008:

Here is an somewhat more recent picture of the site found on www.artnet.com . I gather from the url that it was taken on august 4th. There is in fact some progress visible in the form of the heavy metal scaffolding and black tarp that cover the townhome next to the site. It's renovation is part of this ralph lauren project.

To answer my own question from some time ago, the building is 8 Stone. It now has a thread: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=173438

I haven't bothered to upload the 40 Gold pics yet, but I swear I will eventually.

I don't get to the east-side very often, but the next time I'm over that direction, I'll try to get a few shops. Hopefully it will be in the daylight. It is a very attractive, if ultimately under the 12-floor limit of this thread, project.

Updated statuses on the front page, lots were changed to "topped out"

If anyone got corrections or news of whether one of the "topped out" buildings is completed, post it hers

Updated the statuses on the buildings, moved some to completed. Judging by the prevalence of dark orange (on hold/cancelled) and a mounting number of dark reds (topped out) with few, if any, blues or greens (foundations/construction) catching up, it's easy to tell that things are slowing down. However, there is still a bunch of proposals that I haven't added to the roster yet.

That's the third significant architect to die within the past few weeks. RIP.

That man contributed plenty to the city's existing and visionary landscape.

There's been a U/C addition to the supertalls portion in the original post.
