Seriously though, I saw this happening years and years ago. They seriously underestimated existing demands for this corridor, nevermind future growth. It never made sense to me at all to build the system as it is today.
I'm both happy and sad that we're in this situation....happy that we have high ridership, sad on "WTF are we going to do now?!!!"
This line certainly won't be the Olympic corridor backbone that VANOC was hoping for. I don't know how exactly they plan on making this line work during the Games....the Canada Line is going to be get the bulk of the additional SkyTrain ridership during the Games.
