I actually think it would be pretty neat if it operated like the Empire State Building. For instance: Red, white, and blue during the 4th of July.

Nothing screams fun and exciting more than BYU. Kind of on topic:

I think the U, City and main street bars and restaurants should start sponsoring tailgate pre and post parties after U games on Main. Close of the street between 200-300 S, run trax for free to and from the stadium, have live music on the street etc. They could coordinate it with a continuation of the Gallivan concerts that run through August. Have it be the pigskin concert series on Sat. afternoons and evenings.

It is not nearly as pleasing to look at. It's angles and interaction is much better that the Denver building. Yes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

To me the shapes are similar but the visual aspect of 222 is far more aesthetically pleasing. A better design with similar shape.

You know, I used to come to this forum for all the development news and pictures. But lately, with all the BYU stuff around here, I'm done. I'm never coming back. The hell with you guys.
Go Utes.

Does anyone know the leased sq. footage? Has it improved in the last several months? I would think that 222 is a good barometer for the chances of another office building in the next 5 years. I really hope Hamilton lands a restaurant that will draw people down to that end of Main.

I'm not in Salt Lake during the evening hours enough to know but it's a real shame if their not lighting it up anymore. The Wells Fargo building looked awesome with all the blue neon and really added to the look of downtown at night. Hopefully with all the lights on 222 it will inspire them to turn the lights back on.

I don't know if this was ever posted, it's obviously old. I found it at Okland's site.

I have seen that pic before and I agree that the real deal looks better, but that spire may have been interesting.

Goofing around with new tripod and HDR at night. I will straighten them up better next time when I am not in such a hurry.

Go Utes.
Do not take it personally. BYU always have the loud and meaningless banter.

However, the Utes continuously see them in the rear view mirror.

I may have graduated from UC Berkeley but the Utes were the team I always loved...damn near equal to the Bears.

Great shots T-Mac...

Cool lighting FX.

To me that is the most urban corner of SLC.

How lethal can anyone get when talking about a F'ing game. A game.

I want Utah, TCU and BYU to win big. The truth is the MWC after those 3 plus Air Force is a hilarious joke.

Off topic:
Last year one of the worst teams in the MWC (Wyoming) went on the road and beat Tennessee. I realize that Tennessee was down last year (finished 5-7), but having a lower tier MWC go on the road and beat a lower tier SEC team kind of slams the theory that conferences like the SEC are better top to bottom than a conferenc like the MWC. In no way am I saying the MWC is as good as the SEC, but the MWC is certainly a rising conference as a whole and the theory applies less to the MWC than any other non AQ conference. the MWC is every bit as good as the ACC and the Big East, at least over the last 4-5 seasons.
