Well if I had to wager my own money I'd bet there is a better chance of Ovation happening than the Stacy tower you modeled... and Marriott fills a critical gap. Sounds like 21c will be visible...

But I'll take whatever you can produce. The more the better for the vision of what "could" be.

A solid "vision" image like this will get lots of visibility in different circles and perhaps even stimulate development interest when people see the potential of downtown.

y'know, it would be cool to see all the renderings posted up together like you're doing. but at the same time i just don't want it to build my hopes up to high... then nothing is built.

chicago is called, the birthplace of skyscrapers so it takes challenges very seriously. so now to contest the 2,000+ ft dubai, they are building the Spire, which will probably be the second tallest in the world.

i remember reading a post not sure wheree, i think at city-data.com and someone posted an article of some asian architect that wanted to build the tallest building in the world for the "glory of the usa." yeah, that's how he put it. i'd have to find it. there were 3 cities being considered for it's home, 1. los angeles, 2. houston, tx and 3. las vegas.

i'd of wanted to see that go up in htown. i might have sme facts screwed since it was a few years back.

Chicago Spire is on hold actually.. plus it is 700 feet shorter than Burj Dubai

Wow! Thanks for that Spectacular and Smart. Feels like a modern "Gaudi". Smart because that wonderful effect is still based on a box. so it is, for the most part, curved variations in the floor plates. Love how they become balconies as well!

It's a nice building. Great location, too, with south views of Millennium Park. I was there last April and got to walk all around it. It's amazing how the balconies free-flow into the blue glass. Very cool.

I think you may be jumping the gun a little bit. They are working on the top floor right now, but the roof is not yet up.

Plus, don't we usually wait for the tree?

Honestly, I'm a bit embarrassed by the size. Sorry if they are too big. My favorite one is the second to last one with Frost Bank next to the Austonian.

That's my favorite one too. I love blue glass and there's a lot of it there.
