Well, that would make the most sense. I mean its $1.25 to add a zone, why should the airport be anymore special than any other zone?

"Recent correspondence provided to council indicates significant transportation challenges for school age children attending private schools along the Granville Street corridor," reads the letter to TransLink signed by Mayor Lois Jackson.
private school? i got it now. when i got to BCIT Downtown by 98 B-Line, there are many students wearing the school clothes at king edward and granville. is there private high school there? ah, i look it up.... there is a private girl school at king edward and granville.
http://www.yorkhouse.bc.ca/

so the students who are living in south delta have to wake up at 6:00am???? then prepare the stuff, eat the breakfast, wait for bus (601 and 602), goes to brigeport station, take skytrain, take off at kign edward station, and then transfer the bus 25?

i can't image how long the trip takes!!!!!

Check with your students union - I would think charging an add-fare on the U-pass would be a violation of the contractual agreement
NO, i mean that BC Bus Pass Program. please see the introduction:

I was told on the Canada Line tour that to get to the airport everyone must pay the add-fare. That includes U-Passes, Ministry Passes, monthly passes, day passes, etc.
Oh my f**king god. well... that is a good reason of installing fare gates...

Two of them — York House and Little Flower Academy (both all-girls).

41st and Granville
- Vancouver College (it's a high school, all-boys catholic)

King Edward and Granville
- York House (catholic, all-girls)
- Little Flower Academy (all-girls)

In total, 2,500-3,000 students.

On the bright side, the Granville trolley is having its frequency boosted. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's going to be 7-minutes instead of today's 10?

Sure is nice to see that nice shiny new light blue line, named "Skytrain Canada Line" on the transit maps. Blue makes sense when you see it on the system maps, it really stands out. Looks great.

Downtown

Vancouver
http://www.translink.ca/~/media/Documents/Maps/Transit%20System%20Maps/vancouver.ashx

Richmond
http://www.translink.ca/~/media/Documents/Maps/Transit%20System%20Maps/sys_Richmond_SDelta.ashx

By the way - there is a mistake on the Vancouver Map - can you spot it - hint: look on Granville.

Just a thought. But now that the Canada Line is open (okay, so soon) wouldn't it make sense to extend the N15 to VYR and Richmond, and terminate the N10 (which currently runs to YVR and Richmond via Granville) at Marine Drive Station. That way, the N15 can provide overnight service to all C-Line stations when the C-line is closed.

Note that Bridgeport and Templeton are the only two stations on the C-Line that do not have Nightbus service.

I'm lucky myself, because it only takes me around 3-5min to walk to the nearest bus stop for 403, which is quite frequent. But others, aren't so lucky. So they don't like the inconvenience of this. Hence, the purpose of the P&R, so that those residents have effective alternatives to driving the entire way.
This the intent of the rapid transit network is to encourage development near transit and encourage people to live near transit. Park and rides are counter to the intent. This is also working as witnessed by the development near stations and the high ridership of SkyTrain as compared to other transit systems in North America.

The solution is easy, if you want to use transit, live close to it.

yes, it would be lucky if the whole trip takes only 5-10 minutes longer than before. #25 is the weakest link , and you missed one, wait for another 20 minute sometimes

25 between boundary and willingdon ave is the worst in the winter, during any snow or ice you can expect it to be atleast 20min delayed or it may never come

Normally I have an eye for these, but I just can't find it this time.

Latest update on Templeton Station: The North station end already has the parking lot layout completed with sidewalks, curbs, and street lights. Now, we just need the pavement...

There are lots of mistakes on that map
- They forget the #98, as lightrail and CLC mentioned
- #3 to Marine Drive should be black, not blue, as it is not limited to peak only
- #311 should be blue, as its still peak only
- #388 should be blue, still peak only
- #C90 should be purple, still 2 buses per day
- #480 south of Richmond-Brighouse should be purple
- #345 should be black, as it runs all day now (this should be fixed a long long time ago)
- #C40 should be black, as it runs all day now (this also should be fixed a long long time ago)
- Either #C48 should be purple or #C49 should be black - they run as often as each other
- There's still a blue #143 on Lougheed Hwy
- #4 should go to Phibb Exchange as purple (limited service)
- #99 should go to Boundary as purple (limited service)
- #321 to White Rock South should be purple, not black
- There should be no bus on 32Ave, but there are 10 numbers there
- The #375 is incorrectly shown as #374 on 152 street near White Rock
- #595 should be blue in Maple Meadows station
- #C74 to Surrey Central should be black instead of blue (now run all day)
- #143 should be purple to Poco Centre (limited service)
- #C26 Buntzen Lake Special is not shown on Barnet and Coquitlam Station
- #179 should be blue as its peak only (or otherwise #410 to Fraserwood should be black)
- #321 limited service to New West should also be shown on Columbia station
- There is no bus service on Boundary between Hennings and Lougheed

These errors may appears on one of the map, or on all maps. I guess they're updating those maps separately...

it was probably a mistake... and a very bad one at that. If we complain enough they might go back and fix it.

Somewhat off-topic... but the map itself is a little wonky... they show many local streets but new developments are often left out... the pixel width of the lines is somewhat larger than what it needs to be also... and there's plenty of inconsistencies. For example, why does it look like if the Millennium Line have plenty of sharp curves? Why does the Canada Line go under some streets in some places and goes over streets in others?

A few suggestions for a map remake:
- Local streets should be left out completely... or they should all be included and updated.
- The pixel width of bus routes should be shrunk by 0.75. B-Line and Skytrain should keep the current width.
- The Millennium Line route should be completely redone such that it looks more realistic and not like if someone rushed to get it on there.
- The Canada Line should be partially remade such that there isn't an inconsistency with the rest of the map.

But back on topic:

I noticed while passing by Waterfront Station that they removed the tape on some of the Canada Line signs.
