Be an Olympic Torch Bearer?

I submitted my application to become an RBC Olympic torchbearer a few weeks ago, as well as an application to Coca Cola.

One of my friends got lucky and was selected, in fact he got his torch today.

Did anyone here apply?

Yeah I did a while ago to both Coca Cola and RBC, but still no word...

I made it to the story submission round for Coca-Cola, which gave me a 1 in 10 chance, and am supposed to find out within the next week.

My sister and I nominated our mom and her boyfriend to be torch bearers a few months ago, both of them got selected, and both got their torches last week!

^ wow, what are the odds of a couple being able to carry the torch lol.

I wonder if your chances would be better had you submitted your name right after the competition started.
