It'll be interesting to see if some of these features are actually used as intended - features like the soft court/yoga mat - or if the residents will find some other use for them that no-one anticipates.

The fit & finish of the common spaces look pretty good. The roof garden especially is a nice feature that puts Aqua a notch above the standard pool/gymnasium set of comparable Chicago projects on this scale.

I'm curious - does anyone know if there are plans to open the rooftop to residents, like at Marina City?

Another update released by Magellan 7/24/09

"...Construction is progressing on schedule at Aqua with Framing through floor 78, drywall through floor 65 and tiling being installed on lower condominium floors. Additional furniture has been ordered for the outdoor terrace and pool area. Two new “nest” lounges have arrived for the deck. The media room is up and running..."

I think one of my favorite parts about Aqua is how it contrasts and complements Aon. There is some great interplay going on between the two beautiful towers.

That was an excellent update. You got me interested to check the rents on the apartments. Not bad at all! About 50% more than what I pay for my dumpy college apartment. All I need is a good job in Chicago and Aqua has another renter!
