Cool.

Any idea when this will rise above the heritage hotel structure? By the end of summer? Sooner than that?

The first few floors above grade will be a bit slow as they need to tie into the existing structure but it should be several stories above grade by the end of summer, probably more given the amount of manpower available right now.

Can't wait to see it start to rise above the height of the existing structure and get a bit of glazing. It's going to be a very nice tower!

It will be Vancouver's 2nd tallest as well once completed! I think we forget just how much of a big deal this building is in Vancouver.

2nd tallest and easily most architecturally interesting, at least for it's height... if it comes out looking anything like the renders.

I can't wait for this one. Any updates on estimated completion or at least top out?

Nice shots.
You can see the middle section of the old hotel where they've filled in the walls with concrete - they had been brick before (with adjacent original walls in concrete) - presumably to allow hallway extension into future expansions.

^At least you can see rebar sticking up above ground level, that's always a good sign.

Pic by me taken today.
The cut out down the back of the old building (which appears to be being filled in) may have been for a new elevator core or staircase.

Will they have the heritage hotel portion finished before February, like they planned?

Any idea? Just curious.

It looks like they are getting close to being ready to pour the first level above what woudl be (I assume) the lobby.

Pic by me taken today - you can see the formworks for the second floor.
On the old part, it does look like an elevator core.

Will they be putting anything on the roof? A pool would be really neat, as I think that the roof might get decent sunlight during part of the day due to the low height of the art gallery and robson square.
