As of now I really like the idea of Jefferson and Staunton being seperate cities, and yeah I drew that crappy map
So I'm working on Callahan Square, Marsh Medical Center, and Fort Staunton all at once, ha.
Finally, some culture in this city:
Staunton Museum of Art, completed in 1939.
Staunton Museum of Modern Art, (SMoMA), completed in 1981, relativly unpopular for building over the site of several early 20th century buildings and is known as Staunton's ugliest building.
In the picture above you can also see Fort Staunton, this area is the Fort Staunton District. Soon you will see more older lowrise buildings currently being converted to lofts, several wharfs, and the Starkton Island Ferry (the large island in the green on the map). You can see where the grid cuts off and goes to Staunton's original city layout, leaving that big streetwall of skyscrapers.
On the right are some left department store buildings in the Westly Shopping district, think of it as the 5th Avenue of Staunton. The large white building is Barrington's, The stepped pyramid building is Willard's, and the thinner building right of it is Lacy's. Barrington's and Willard's are known for their enormous mall atriums, which can't be seen here as they are located in the center of both buildings.
