The video from the 58th floor was actually shot late this morning by our managing editor, Joe Askins. It's an extended look from a SE and a NW corner unit.

To the best of my knowledge, the roof is not accessible to the condo owners.

chrslyp: you're right it was taken from the Navy Pier ferris wheel. I had family in town over the weekend, including my little Nephew, thus the photo opportunity.

slightly OT, but shouldn't you be able to see the hole for the spire in the second photo?

Great panos BTW, love how the wrap around balconies give tenants a wider slice of city views per unit.

Updates released by Magellan 6/30/09:

"...Windows and patio doors have been completely installed through 81. Framing is through floor 75 and drywall is through floor 63. Interior finishes will be begin to be installed on floors 53 & 54 this. week..."
