^^^ I hadn't thought of it before you mentioned it but it seems like the front of the building may have been angled for that very reason. 222 sits right between Wells Fargo and Chase and the angles provide a perfect view of both.

I was at the Courthouse Trax station last week in the evening and it was really cool to see the Walker Center sign reflected in 222 all the way from 450 South.

Again, love this building.

oh wow. Such a sexy building! So simple and clean, and small details really make the building pop out--the angles, the quality and color of the glass. The glass is perfect--very reflective, and it takes on different colors with daylight. The glass on the crown is probably going to look strikingly different at different times of the day, much less how good I hope it looks at night. Still a little 'meh' about street-level; I guess I can give it the benefit of the doubt since it's not finished.

Thanks for the pics, T-Mac. It was an unexpected surprise, for a Wednesday!

It will also hopefully add to the ambience of the Twilight Concert Series at Gallivan... the reflection that is... and maybe the building in general. It's weird to think that during last years concerts it was just barely starting to rise.

Whoever takes the Twilight Concert Series photos

Going off of my previous post, this was what we saw at 222 nearly a year ago. Also, this was when The Roots played at the Twilight Concert Series... it was one of the biggest crowds I had ever seen and also shows why that ice rink and pavilion thing needed to be moved.

I would have just edited my last post, but I wanted to bump the thread.

This might sound weird for me to say, but I never pictured the "222" number being made out of wood. Looking at pass renderings I thought those numbers would be made out of metal or something like that. Oh well, not a big deal.

^^^I'm thinking those are just a template of some sort, or a placeholder. I doubt those are the final materials.

Don't I see posts from time to time that talk about how unlively downtown is? It's looking pretty lively in that image.

I vote that the wood numbers are only templates and placed for publicity or client shots... Love the shape anyway!

Exactly... it's almost like this every Thursday in July-August... speaking of which, the first concert in the series is this Thursday, and it's free!

It's generally like that on Monday's as well, when they do the movies on the plaza, although I haven't heard if they are doing those on Mondays of not this year. I know they are doing friday movies in different parks this summer also.

Yeah it's way nice, to say the least. Very modern look.

I heard a rumor going around that this building is either going to be named, ''222", "two two two" of "HP Tower"

They've been marketing it as "222 Main" for some time now, so I can't imagine they'd call it anything else at this point.

yes, Future Mayor. They started Movies at Gallivan last night with Hancock. There were a lot of folks in attendance.
