Maybe it's not pure Art-Deco, but Stern's One Saint Thomas in Toronto is definitely strongly influenced by it:

Just a heads up, we ask on these forums that posts not simply consists of links. If you're posting photos or an article we ask that you actually do that.

Wow, that's actually one of the nicest buildings I have ever seen built in the last 10 years.

I love that MGM in Detroit.

There were a couple built in London in the 1980s / 1990s that can loosely be described as art-deco inspired:

Old Barclays Bank headquarters:

Homemade, Flikr

M16 Building (made an appearance in a James Bond film)

Tim Hill, Timil.com

Kieran Doherty, Reuters, ABC.net

They were fairly popular when built, but I think they've gone a bit out of fashion more recently.

Here's a fun one, the Art Moderne Tokyo Disney Ambassador Hotel designed by Robert A.M. Stern:

ramsa

"Disney" has become a slur against pre-modern style contemporary buildings. For some people this hotel should symbolize all that is wrong with contemporary architecture. But it looks like Stern has won some grudging respect lately.

American Airlines Center:

AMC Theaters:

It's perhaps not a classic ceiling, having been completed in 2003 :-)

This is actually a modernist building, but the restaurant at the top, known as The Dome, is art deco - Bangkok:

Wells Fargo Center, Minneapolis by Cesar Pelli

Source

Allegedly the original design Pelli wanted was rejected, but became the Key Tower in Cleveland.

If I remember correctly, there is some building in Asia (Japan, I think) that is a pretty cool looking knock-off of the ESB.

I can't find it though. Does anyone have pictures? Does it even exist? Am I crazy?
