Thanks guys! I lucked out too. After I took those pics at the apartment complex on Deatonhill Drive, my bike tire had a blowout. I meant to go to St. Ed's too, and luckily we had a chore to do downtown. So I got it all in.

I also went to Half Price Books near 290 and I could see the Austonian really clearly.
Are you talking about the Genie Car Wash on William Cannon, or the one on Lamar? I live less than a mile from the one on William Cannon. I actually worked there while I was in high school.

And the Half Priced Books, are you talking about the one on Lamar near Manchaca Road next to the Old Alligator Grill?

The Genie Car Wash I'm talking about is at William Cannon near Emerald Forest Drive. And with the Half Price Bookstore, I'm talking about the one next to the Old Alligator Grill.

Has the Austonian reached floor 51 yet? If so, we have a new tallest building!

I was downtown and I don't think it has reached 51. I saw some platforms
being lifted but i don't think its there yet.
I say a day or two and we'll be celebrating big time!!!!!!

I say it's floor 51 today! Platforms don't take too much time getting lifted, and so I say floor 51 today!
This would make the Austonian the highest building in Austin.
A record.

Thanks for the news Austin Rises. Happy.

The building has six more floors till top out. Take your pills, smoke a doob and relax. Building a highrise is not a daily change its a weekly.

It sure looks to be at or beyond 360's height from what I saw on my drive up Mopac today. It is a beauty!

The Austonian is either below or beyond the height of 360 according to the height image given by priller. I'm thinking that it's above 360 now.

I've always loved the view looking up S. Lamar from the Ben White / 360 flyover. To me this is the S. Austin gateway to the Hill Country.

The lower downtown core looks so dense look from the west as you can see from the 360 overlook or from the east. The W obviously will enhance even more.

Awesome pics as usual Mopacs!
