FT will have two cores? But it's only one building? Right? I'm confused? I assumed buildings only had one core but obviously I'm wrong. I do see the south core now that the above picture was posted. At first I didn't see the south core in other pictures clearly.

Well think of the North and South Cores as halves that make up a whole or sections. Technically there are 2 cores but they each serve the same purpose such as staircases, elevators, etc. It is still considered the core meaning one but there are two sections, North and South. The South Core is the highest part of the Tower currently and the North Core will soon reach that and hopefully once achieved the damn thing will go up

This building is going to be so big, that it will require two cores. Obviously one isn't enough.

The core looks so unassuming and simple so far. It's hard to tell that it'll support the tallest building in the western hemisphere (excluding the chicago spire). I'm getting antsy waiting for them to start climbing. There's just so much underground work that they've been doing first.

Pretty tall building but I don't know about "tallest" in the western hemisphere. Sears tower is still taller by roof height and the C.N. tower is still tallest from base to tip.

Sorry...don't mean to start a pissing match or anything. I'm just glad to see it actually going up finally.

It will be the tallest skyscraper in the western hemisphere (1,776 ft) and the CN tower isn't a skyscraper. And that's the end of that discussion.

Since both webcams are down, can someone give an update on construction?

Rumor has it that they are pouring concrete around the North Core.

That was fast! One more level to go catch up to the S core. Will have animated pic later today unless someone beats me to it.

Nice!!! This is great news! I was just up there two weeks ago. It had been almost a year since I last went to the city. The site is just getting busier and busier. It's an exciting thing to see!
