Those cranes on the left are for Parade.....

Twin Towers connected by a sky bridge... that should make things more interesting...

If not enough.. the final phase of the project should add some excitment.. especially if it moves forward at a hieght somewhere between 220 to 269 meters, with curtain wall glass!!! anyways.... right now, of course it won't be moving forward due to the economic conditions.....and at the very least, until all the other phases of the project have been completed.

my issue is that with or without that 'saving grace' it is so bland....

Look at all that space that needs to be filled in, these towers will not be in isolation, so even in the worst case senerio that they are "bland as hell" they can be effective filler for the western edge of the skyline, when the more daring TCHC projects, Parade, Signature, Panorama, WHC2 all start moving forward......

That is a huge gap in the skyline....kinda scary to look at.. Thankfully Parade is big enough to do some major damage to that lateral west side hole.....

It doesn't look like the bridge will get built though .. at least for a while

I'll take bland over tacky. Lets face it. Residential architecture is bottom of the barrel. Rarely does it go above and beyond bland or tacky. (especially when viewed on an overcast, muggy day.) We'll see what the TCHC comes up with for their 2000+ units. Regardless if it's more boring glass, it should be fun as it dons on the condo owners that are still clueless about all the subsidized rental units planned in their backyard.

and while you were shooting the skyline from broadway station in vancouver, i was shooting the skyline from broadview ave in toronto!

Great shot! Any picture of TO where Scotiabank is front and centre is top notch in my books. Extra points for blocking out success tower!

Success can't get no love.

Love that perspective of the downtown core.
The only quibble I have with it is the drop off in height. If only Dundee Place was about 200ft taller. It would of added something interesting to the skyline.

A 650 foot Dundee Place would only make the drop off more pronounce. It could also take something away from Calgary's skyline. Let them have their Canterra Tower
