Uh oh. So will you try to make it out to the next one, or avoid us like the plague?

When Hamilton gets an NHL Hockey team I'm guessing it would get wild again. Especially, if it was formerly The Jets.

Yup, unfortunately he left.

Next meet-up I'm wearing my Clark Kent glasses so I can keep my real identity as a super hero a secret, haha.

yeah. I outed myself on RTH a couple of times. And I once complimented Flar on a picture of my car, only to realize it was the only car in that thread and half the neighbourhood knows my car. So much for internet anonymity.

He surfaced briefly in a recent thread but has been virtually silent since RTH left. I guess he was only here to jump all over RTH.

I'm still here pretty much every day. I mainly read over articles and post occasionally. I agree that there seems to be a lot of proposals in the city and not much action, and this is at least one of the reasons I don't post as often. Many of the main issues within the city we have debated to death; it'd be nice if some of these proposals were underway and we could discuss them instead.

I miss DC83 for his humour and RTH for his insight.

This board has a pretty large interesting group of members, normal joe, a cabbie, ex-politicians, current politicians, city hall workers, real estate people, etc.

That's certainly one of the main reasons I've stayed... even those who post less frequently often have a good perspective on or knowledge of a particular niche, and there's often information coming up that I don't find any other way.

Same here, I like to have bleeding-edge Hamilton information! I'm addicted to it..

Probably because I'd like to get into some sort of real estate development, and I see a lot of potential in Hamilton (and would like to build here). Sigh... a few more years of school left first though...

I must be the only person on here that looks forward to posts by BCTed and fastcars. I find both of them to be incredibly informative and honest posters. I enjoy how they have the cajones to tell it like it is.

That said I did like RTH but I, like BCTed, found his opinions to be way too militant and often too sarcastic. I'm sad that H-Magazine left. Can't imagine why. I hope ryan_mcgreal doesn't follow suit.

Likewise. Hmagazine's posts on community events alone are going to be missed, not just personal opinion ones.

Guess I gotta read the print magazine more now

Thanks. I don't know if I tell it like it is, but I do try to tell it as I see it.

Maybe the closing accounts thing has something to do with the fact that most of us post on here when we should be working. I notice myself, the few times I get in arguments on here, I get quite involved and lose track of time, then remember I'm at work. Perhaps it's more of a self-discipline thing.

Why do people close their accounts instead of just not visiting the forum?

I know first-hand that a couple of those who closed their accounts are still here, but as lurkers.
