It will look even classier with the two towers finished, scaffolding down, and everything is landscaped...by summer 2010...hopefully...
I'm hoping you are right because I just got my letter extending my occupancy date to March 2010. Hopefully, those of us in HP 2 will not experience the numerous delays that HP1 has had.

If all units in Mondrian and HP1 & HP2 were sold out, there wouldn't be any restrictions. This way developers have another year to sell remaining units without competing with other owners selling their units.

I think Woofer is right. The first occupancy date was estimated 2-3 years ago and some delays were inevitable. Now, after the experience with HP1 they may have a better idea when they can finish and move everybody in. With so many people without work, there won't be any shortage of contractors and other workers. I am pretty confidant that there won't be any delays even though I wouldn't mind (hate moving in January )

Last weekend I was looking at the new models and asked them what the estimated time delay is from the first occupancy to the last one and the answer I got was 5 months. Given that HP2 has two additional floors and 13 less units overall, I wonder if the 5 month plan is still going to hold true. I think that those of us that are on the higher floors, will only be able to judge once they get the 2nd floor occupied. The answer I got for the first occupancies was October 09.

BTW, there is going to be another model opened this weekend on the 14th floor. They currently have a Chrysler and a Waldorf and tomorrow they will have a Van Allen. I will be there to check it out!!

Part of the 5-month occupancy lag was due to the Deslaurier fire, and the people in the upper floors of HP1 were affected. I believe it was about a 1-2 month delay.

By the way, the rooftop terrace of HP1 is supposed to be ready in about a month. And the hallway for the top floor should be completed with carpets and all in about two weeks. I also heard how HP1 looks really nice at night with the lights. If anyone could take a shot of it, that'll be great.

I wouldnt count on it. There are almost always delays. It is not like HP1 was Charlesfort's first condo building (see 90 George for what a first time condo developer can do to a timeline).

This might be a dumb question, but are those strips of green supposed to be there when everything is finished?

I am wondering about that too. And are the chevrons at the pinnacle going to remain white, or that's just film to protect them, and will be peeled off?
