And Cosmo never even had sales start so it's can't be delayed, and it's going ahead very shortly as well.
Looks like a site put together by real estate bears. Would look better if they did their homework.
noticed that maynard recently chopped prices (start at 360k), which would seem to signal a desire to move forward.

Looks like Aqullini doesn't want to do rentals and is giving market units a final push. Lets see how it pans outs.

I just received that tonight, I'm not involved in this project at all so this isn't an advertisement, just posting for info. Completion is fall 2011.

Here's the full ad

Edit: NVM, the whole thing wasn't loading for me at first

The prices look OK, but the units are kinda tiny, aren't they?

The 1bds are standard size, the 2bds would be standard size if it weren't for the den, so with a den included that sqftage is kinda small but not unusual. The psf is pretty reasonable though.

One last post before bed, I'm getting overworked lately.

1372 Seymour is going back for reapproval pending some changes.
They have increased the height from 33storeys (310ft) to 35storeys (336ft), the podium has also increased in height from 67ft to 70ft (same 7 storeys). Interstingly with the 2 extra floors the fsr stays the same at 6.7 and the project only increased to 240,101sqft from 239,947sqft. The new design looks better too. I've included links to the pdfs, d/l them first as they are large (~3mb each).

looks like the 1st of the "City/Province Social and Supportive Housing Partnership" projects is a go as "Funding for 525 Abbott Street was announced by the Province on March 17, 2009."

fencing and demo work has commenced at 525 Abbott Street >> http://vancouver.ca/commsvcs/housing/reservedsites/owned/525AbbottSt.htm

I will check the site for activity next time I'm in the area

Is that the old Car repair shop next to the Shell? If so they are tearing that place down so it looks like we'll see some building activity soon

Thanks for the info.

WRT the square - don't mind the canopy - but what is that on Georgia St?

I actually don't like that change to Robson street, i feel they should keep the two lanes, even if it is just for buses (or pedestrians). I seems boring to me. it is kind of strange to have your main shopping street have a roadblock in the middle of it.

If they kept traffic flow with an underground section or something it could work.... but would be pretty expensive.

also two more I missed

City-owned Site: 1338 Seymour Street

Funding for 1338 Seymour Street was announced by the Province on March 17, 2009.

http://vancouver.ca/commsvcs/housing/reservedsites/owned/1338SeymourSt.htm

City-owned Site: 3595 West 17th Avenue

Funding for 3595 West 17th Avenue was announced by the Province on March 17, 2009.

http://vancouver.ca/commsvcs/housing/reservedsites/owned/3595W17th.htm

so 4 out of the 12 sites are a GO.....cool stuff! I imagine we will see funding come through over the next few months for the rest.....

Alto must be getting close to toping out. I wonder if we'll see some of that retail opening this fall?

I've got a hankerin' for a Nandos burger.

The tarps have come off The Keg in Yaletown - looks like a roof deck... Also, the windows for the restaurant are slightly smaller than the exitsng opening - so there is a heavy frame around each window.
Will look odd compared to the windows for the Bank of Montreal on the other sde of the building.

Pic by me today:
