I think that's just the interchange where I80 and I215 meet. The airport would be, maybe, the length of the picture to the right, from that angle.

Good News: The former Hard Rock Cafe at Trolley Square is going to be a Wise Guys Comedy Club. Wise Guys opperates a very successful club in West Valley, and two more clubs in Ogden and Orem, and is now expanding to downtown. Unlike the other three clubs, the Trolley Square location will have a full bar.
For anyone who's never been to Wise Guys, it's a comedy club very much on the rise. They search out local talent, but also book touring comedians, so they have a great mix of up and coming and established talent. Jamie Kennedy is coming to the West valley club this month. It'll be great to have one at Trolley.

From what I know they have already opened up at Trolley and will be filming a comcast on demand special this weekend. Also included with the Trolley location is an accompanying full service restaurant call Poundcake. You can order the full menu in Wise Guys or simply go eat at the restaurant.

I'm excited that we finally have a downtown (near) comedy club.

I was surfing the web and ran across this little gem:

Its called the "Anderson Westfield project". Probably not its official name, just the clients names.

So I googled "Anderson Westfield" and found these images.

And the dudes blog.The blog entry is from January 2008, so its anyones guess if this project is still a go. Most likely if its still alive its on hold due to the economy.

Also, i did some research on the Salt Lake County recorders site. I was curious where they got the "Anderson Westfield" name from, and I think I found it. Anderson Development owns the parcels that the Burger King currerntly sits on. Which I think would be a perfect fit for that corner, and sitting across the street from the library awesome

The design appears to have a few levels of above ground parking garage, main floor retail, and then residential above it looks like.

Anyways I hope it gets built. Hopefully we'll hear back from that guy, or hear some more on this project/parcel further down the road.

"Wow" is right. The "Anderson Westfield project" looks awesome!!!!!
So the first rendering has the building at 11-story while the 2nd rendering has it at 7.
I hope it gets built. I hate that burger king.

This got me thinking about this quote regarding 222S Main:

I really hope that this is the 190,000sf company that is talked about. The 10 Million quote seems light for new construction but I think it would make sense that it would be building out offices in an existing building, especially one under construction.

It depends. I think this is the dumbest idea of Becker's term, but unless someone on the left runs against him, I don't see how it'll cost him. And as much as Rocky likes to talk about jumping in, I don't see it happening. Though I do think he'd trounce Becker.

Beecher Walker are apparently also the architects for the Meadowbrook Station apartments currently being built south of the TRAX station at 39th S.

Anything that impacts the DC area I am all for. That area is a zoo. Although it is due to Northern Virginia why Virginia has a strong economy.

Those are some nice looking apartments. Where exactly is this complex located?

I am really starting to like the architecture of the SLC area.

That's if they chose to move downtown. With our luck they will move their headquarters to a business park somewhere.
