Here is my latest model: Burj Al Arab in Dubai. About 19 inches tall and 1/650th scale.

Ohhh! Very nice!! Excited to see it, it was a surprise as I was going to guess Jin Mao or the Patronas Towers.

Great model, Spencer. Ingenious use of LEGO elements as usual.
Those truss beams on the side look rare (I have never seen them).
I am also curious about those rows of parts on the curved "back" of the building.

Can I assume that this will be on display at BrickBash this weekend in Ann Arbor?

look like 1x3 lift arms
and the truss's look like whie 1x16 technic bricks

Correct, they are 1x3 lift arms strung together with curving flex tubes.

The trusses are not Technic bricks, but rather Support 1 x 16 Lattice (Train Signal Mast). IIRC they ran about $1.50 each.

So uh, who'd get me some plane tickets to Ann Arbor? I'd love to see yours in person, aswell as Decojims and everything else you got up there. North America (mich,ill, etc) seems to have a awesome lego scene.

Yesterday I built green grocer. Call me back and ask me what I think when the tips of my fingers grow back. No I just have to decorate the inside of Cafe corner and buy/fix up market street.

Does anyone know why 4954 Model Town Home wouldent be available in the US? I looking to get it and make my own modular house.

No, I do not know why it is not currently available in the US. It was sold in the US about a year or two ago. A friend of mind has one. Don't let the unavailability stop you; you can buy one off Bricklink (search set 4954); if that is too expensive, just buy some parts and make your own design.

Yeah, the cheapest one on bricklink is 90$, so Ill probably just hunt down my own parts. I'm still Curious why they don't sell it. They had one at a local target 2 months ago. Maybe they just don't ship it? Or maybe I'm just getting my hopes up.

Is bricklink better than Lego for parts?

hahah its cheaper to buy it msib then it is to buy all the parts
this tool here will tell u the cost of all the parts great way to figure out if its worth buying new msib or just the parts

the white house one probly took a couple months to do a moc up then a day or 2 to set it up outside

I think the white house may actually an older design from along time ago, they just added people/scenery. I saw the white house in a book like 5 years ago.

Just to be sure, I emailed Lego about the town house, it has been discontinued.No surprises, really.
