You could get a structural engineer to look at a home you are interested in buying. I had one look at my century home and they said that it is in better shape than most 5 year old homes they've evaluated. They couldn't stop marvelling at the brickwork and solid stone foundation!

Basically, instead of having warehouses that ship goods to local retail outlets, the stores have closed their retail outlets and installed cash registers at the warehouses.

Tennier does that. I used to get my cleaning products from them. You go into the office pay for your goods then enter the warehouse. They would get your goods and they would load your car for you. Much better system Ryan. Some might be in areas where it isn't safe for people to be in. But if they aren't I wished they did that system. As that would probably make the products a bit cheaper since people aren't paying for that extra shipping. And possibly getting fresher products as well.

^ MsMe.... sorry..... but You're paying for that extra shipping. you just don't know it.

That extra shipping $ is called "your car/your gas" and the extra storage/warehouseing costs are called "your downstairs freezer and/or your garage".

Note: check out what the property tax difference is on a house with attached garage and without. It costs an extra $100/month for a garage based on a similar house in similar area without garage. That's $1200.... a year.. fyi
