Phoenix + Value Engineering = harmonious match.

Well, I saw them put up the top clear panels. I would venture to guess that some flood lights for nighttime lighting wouldn't be that expensive causing them to VE them out.

Does anyone think they will ever replace the glass on the Chase Tower? It looks really worn for lack of a better word.

Please tell me you're just using shorthand and it wasn't really called "March 4 Schools". Because if it was, all the teachers should just be fired right now.

EDIT: VV Gotcha, my sister is a 2nd grade teacher in PVUSD who's potentially out of a job next year, Ill have to ask her how it went for her.

I think it was (at least thats what I got out of it) but the whole purpose of it was that it was on March fourth. It was more of a slogan thing that people put on shirts and such.

all in all, this is the first really good building built in DT since Renaissance Square. i think every design between then and now has had some kind of compromise (yes, even Monroe -- a bit gaudy in texture imo and teh "crown" is lame). OCPE is just a nice tower that could exist in any good modern DT in the world. im hoping ill say the same thing about the cityscape tower.

Trust me, you don't even want to see the poor grammar that was in the email from the idiot principal who organized this damn thing. No wonder we are at the bottom when it comes to education. I'll probably be out of a job at the end of this school year too but there was no way I was going to go stand on the lawn and yell while being ignored by a governor that we didn't elect.

It has been the strategy of this district to cut every program that parents actually care about. That way, they will actually start to complain and legislators will care. Right now, we are just people who don't want to lose our jobs. When we take away Juan's chance to play soccer or Jamal's chance to play basketball, then the heads will start rolling. Say goodbye to high school sports, music, theater, prom, yearbook, and field trips. Say hello to history books with USSR in them and science books with 9 planets.

I refuse to accept that Pluto is no longer a planet because My Very Extravagant Mother Just Sold Us Nine... just doesn't make any sense.

i know a lot of you are looking forward to the rest of the fins going up, but i'm glad they're going to keep the north side the way it is (w/ no fins) because i love the look and feel of the smooth glass and i wish the hole building was that way.

I wish they had made the glass seamless to the top instead of putting that big gap in it along the top of the building.

The north side isn't getting fins. Having said that, take a look at the last picture, there are fasteners sticking out near the top by the crane that look alot like the ones on the south side where the strip of dichroic glass is going. I wonder if the north side is getting the same treatment.

^Look between the crane and its reflection, just below the aforementioned gap in the glass.
