Yeah, it's gotta be lowrise with a wide footprint.
Maybe a new Robson Square clamshell?
A reconfigured Van Dusen Pavillion?
Oakridge Mall?
Wal-Mart?
Side note: UBC is not technically within the City of Vancouver... so I've excluded anything over there.
sounds perhaps like the ICBC site at Marine and Cambie?
From the "Marine Drive ICBC Redevelopment & Transit Hub" thread...

The sizes of the buildings are for the most part the same but the design and placement have been significantly altered. I cannot get into too many specifics, but I can say the two office towers have been combined into one office tower with three different steps. The residential high rise has been moved to make way for an incredible looking podium facing Marine Drive with an innovative and distinctive roof. The entire project is looking wonderful and is progressing at promising speed, I can only hope the design doesnt get cut back due to cost saving measures.
^That's true, if he "ain't saying nuthin", he must be saying something and yet he isn't, which means it is not only a double negative but also a paradox.
Officedweller, if UBC isn't within the city of Vancouver, where is it?
Haha sorry for the grammatical mishap... you guys are sticklers that's all I have to say.
Yeah UBC is its own 'municipality' if you will. i don't know what the technical form of its government is or what its technical name is... maybe University Endowment lands?
wow, it appears quite photogenic in these shots. It has turned out much MUCH better than I thought it would, although I still find it a little on the bland side for a project approaching one billion dollars.
^One billion is sounding more and more like lunch money -- especially when you hear the price for the Port Mann twinning is going to approach $3 billion.
