Vancouver 2010 video game coming to Nintendo Wii and DS, Christmas 2009

A few video games are coming out for the 2010 Games!

Nintendo is making versions "Olympic Winter Games" for both the Wii and DS....the game itself is being produced by SEGA. It'll be in stores in time for the Christmas shopping season.

See, this is exactly what we want, the spin off advertisement recognition of Vancouver. I just hope we also get a major movie based at the Vancouver Olympics, such as Calgary and Montreal did. And while i am on this note, why the hell, out of countless films, has James Bond never come to Canada?

There could be a movie about Vancouver 2010....either in the Calgary light or the Munich light......something really special would have to happen in Vancouver for a movie to be worthwhile.

And as for James Bond movies, CSIS was mentioned in the last few minutes of the most recent Bond. Perhaps, not in the best light....but we were mentioned: Bond goes to Kazan, Russia, where he confronts Vesper Lynd's former lover, Yusef Kabira. Yusef is a member of Quantum who seduces high-ranking women with valuable connections, getting them to give up government assets as ransom for himself in fake kidnappings where he is supposedly held hostage. He is attempting to do the same with Canadian agent Corinne Veneau, even giving her the same kind of necklace he gave Vesper. Surprising them at Yusef's apartment, Bond tells Corinne about Vesper and advises her to alert the Canadian Security Intelligence Service.

Cool, though it is kind of a corney advertisement. Wonder what sports they'll have besides snowboarding, and if any of the courses will be accurate when compared to the actual courses in Whistler

I'd like to see osomething similar to NHL 2K7, but with the olympic teams (and Team Canada with the original logo).

James Bond had an opportunity to go to Canada, I believe in the old Sean Connery movie Thunderball. Instead, he decided to go to the Caribbean (Cuba?), because that's where his information lead him. Either that or he was lying and just prefered the warmer climate.

James Bond

I actually met Pierce Brosnan in Vancouver while he was filming "Married Life". He was on set with Rachel McAdams down at the Holywood Theatre. That's the closest we will probably come to James Bond in Vancouver...
