^ Love the staircases. It seems that the spiral staircase in the middle of that pic leaves a large dark, unused space at ground level. Not a bad place for a homeless hangout!

Come to think of it, wouldn't that be a perfect place for a tiny convenience store?

^ LOL Pretty tight on Columbus for a full view w/o a special lens or a big stitch. But that is where some of the most interesting light hits in the early PM. Gotta go with the light!

The tower is really becoming apparent on the cityscape as it approaches its full (and considerable) height. You notice it now from all kinds of unexpected places.

and yes the music choice was intentional as i knew that many parts of the last two Batmans were shot in Chicagoland

Nice shot Solar, I continue to be surprised by Aqua's presence from numerous viewpoints. Three years ago when reviewing the early information and renderings on Aqua, I in no way expected the building to dominate as illustrated in your photo above. Perhaps a lack of vision on my part at the time.

As if it's standing guard over Columbus/Fairbanks.

wow, great shot solar. i love how Aqua just seems to tower over everything in that picture.

the way columbus/fairbanks shifts west just before crossing the river perfectly centers aqua when viewing it from the north looking south. a perfect bookend to the fairbanks canyon... almost reminiscent of trump while looking north on wabash, or the wrigley building while looking north on michigan. and all this is achieved by the roads shifting slightly by the river.
the CBOT might be the only canyon bookend where the road terminates (La Salle at Jackson). there might be another, i just cant think of it...

^ Yeah, Chicago has all these great, unexpected vistas that are becoming apparent as more and more high-rises go up. Check out how this one terminates even farther back at OMP. Well done, SolarWind.
