Hey, Leftcoaster, I think Telus is close to being topped out now...

Here's another project that maybe hasn't been mentioned...they are re-building Regent Park in the east end of downtown Toronto....this is welfare-type assisted housing, and a very scuzzy neighbourhood....1st building turning out better than expected....pics by Wyliepoon at urbantoronto.ca....

Umm I dont think that is the case. From the studies we did on the plans in my urban development seminar a few years ago I thought they project was to be a mixed income development?

No, not mixed use, mixed income. Market housing mixed in with government assisted housing.

St. Lawerence Market "is" also mixed income, with government assisted living...it's very ritzy and yuppy now. After the developers and the government made their deal. -

The city wants the exact same results for Regent Park, all of the existing government housing there will eventually be torn down and replaced with buildings like in the photos above. -

..and of course the place will turn "chi chi" chic....

A new tunnel:

I slipped and fell on the ice (hidden under fresh snow) when I was out taking these pics but luckily for me I managed to hold the Nikon up as I went down.
