Together, they would be almost 100k more populous than SLC! Then if they bring Copperton, Harriman, and Riverton into their mega city, they would be more than double SLC's 225k at about 500K! The south west valley would totally kick butt in 2060 if these numbers hold true!
Seriously though, I don't think SLC could feasibly anex half the valley. I bet West Valley will annex Magna and Kearns into it eventually, SLC will annext North SL, South SL, and all unincorporated areas/small cities sorounding it. Sandy will incorporate its neighbors, and West Jordan and South Jordan will combine and absorb the south west valley. I'm seeing a 2060 of 4 major cities in the four corners of the valley. It looks like they will probably all rival each other once they are all built out. The report estimates that the valley will have 2.04 million (you overlooked a zero, Tangeled - its more like 2 million even). I just roughly added the south west valley cities (where I live) together and figure they will have somewhere in the 500k population range. If 4 mega cities do emerge the way I see it, they should each have roughly similar populations (2 million/4 = 500k each). I bet that SLC and the Jordan area will rival as the valley leaders with Sandy in third place and West Valley in fourth.
