I would not agree that the Austonian is at 370 yet. I can see maybe 341 or so if the 31st floor is compete. Got to go power about to go out I hate Ice storms. lexingon ky the capitol of Ice storms. There goes another treebranch.

Cool camera system that was used at the inauguration that can zero in on anyone in the crowd while still being a panorama photograph.

Those are some great night pictures of the skyline; but their UT stadium pic doesn't have the north endzone expansion OR the godzillatron! They seriously need to update that.

I've never seen these... parking garage garages? I guess so people can store some of their stuff there too?

finally....they are working on the 32nd floor. that took way too long.
i work just over on the next block from the austonian... i've never really noticed how long they've taken... it seems like just about a week and a half ago that they just started on the 31st floor... it doesn't seem too long for me. but i might be mistaken... how long did they take to get to the 32nd floor?

They spent about 3 1/2 weeks on 31. But it was the mechanical floor, so I'm sure there was a lot of special stuff going on that slowed it down.

Jeeeez, I've gotta get over to Austin!!! I want to know the very day, time, and second that the Austonian dethrones 360 as the tallest building in CEN-TEX.

So I went to D.C. and bought just a cheap Kodak disposable camera. Go ahead laugh. That's one of the many sounds that could be heard in the crowd, the constant winding and clicking of them.

Good choice! You can always buy a camera. Hard to find a good historical moment!

Sounds like a bold prediction, that does seem a bit long....I'm going with July 3rd a Friday. If we get the same weather pattern as we have had it should go smoothly and the 4th would then have a new tallest in Austin in which fireworks can light up.

Awesome Pictures LONESTAR MIKE

This one especially.

With the hills in the background and the palm trees, it almost looks like West Hollywood.

you know, all those pictures are great. lonestarmike, priller, kevinfromtexas and mopacs have all put out some really nice pictures. it's too bad i can't afford to buy myself a camera to take some... then i'd take some photos from the east side view. cause nobody hasn't really taken any from that side... it's usually from mopac view or south side... but i've seen great and very nice angles that can be taken from the east side.... maybe some of you should try it.
