for a second i thought those were mountains in the background.. beautiful picture though, i've never seen toronto from that angle before.

Pinnacle Centre is really, really making its presence felt in both of these photos!!!

(it's a really tall tower in a league of it's own down by the waterfront....at least until MLS starts hitting the clouds)

Not sure where the future skyline rendering thread went - so I'll post this from CtrlAltDel - some major change coming to the Calgary skyline.

Looks like a pretty damn big city.

This thread makes me wish Canadian big cities were closer together, like what you get in Brazil, Japan, US, China, Germany or France. Then we would have much more active and vibrant dowtowns and a more efficient train and transpo infastructure to support the movement of people between regions.

All we have right now is basically KW-HAm-Tor-Ott-Mont-Que, and that is not even a very compact urban corridor like you have in other countries.

Wow, this boom has been mighty kind to Calgary. I think you guys have the office buildings taken care of, now its time to keep pushing for more condos.

^ All except about 4-5 new buildings in that render are residential. But yeah, a big residential push is important.

Unfortunately for you we live in the second largest country in the world.

And of all of the large regional cities (Hfx, Mon, To, Win, Reg, ect) not many are within a few hours drive of each other.

Oh yeah I know, but you guys are playing catchup (no offence intended) so some new residential, espeically north of the beltline, would do wonders for the city.

Quebec City from eastern suburb. This picture really shows the city is on a hill which is cool but unfortunate also because skyline looks much smaller than it would if all buildings were at the same level...
