So I got a brand new SLR (Canon Rebel XSi), but I have no idea how to use it yet; anyway, I managed a couple test shots of Fairmont on Auto mode. From today (Jan 1, 2009):

Great shots!

Totally unfair you guys had a clear sky today, though! Sheesh!

It only lasted an hour or two. I must have been a few minutes ahead of you, phesto.

Good thing this tower is in the 140m range, that whole area is full of stubs and this tower (along with shaw) have finally brought some decent hight to the waterfront.

The snow slowed them down, they are still on 45/48.

strange lighting in this pic because of the fog or cheap camera but i thought it was cool looking regardless.

Looks like scene from a disaster movie where a comet or asteroid is about to hit...

I have seen a lot of renders and pics of this tower, but I didn't realise there is a protuding box element, like the one on the shangri-la. That's cool.

I went on a job interview next door at the shaw tower.. I hope I get that one so I can see these things all day instead of working in surrey

the foggy pink photo above makes the original convention centre (i was gonna say 'old convention centre') look kinda like an old cathedral (sorta). know what I'm talking about?

Anyways, i was at first a little apprehensive about its height so far in the front of our waterfront. but you know what. we gotta embrace the height and just love this building. I've really come to appreciate it - especially watching it grow and grow.

do we know what else will be in this building aside from fairmont and apartments?
