Thanks. It is turning out great so far, particulary as you mentioned with the older building in front of it.

Great shots evergrey. Love the green. I'm struck by how skinny PNC 1 looks to the right of it.

Beautiful shots Evergrey. Twighlight seems to be the optimum time for this building. Will it stay that luminous green when completed? I hope so. It's calming, sophisticated and contemporary. Tucked in the way it is, it's like the financial heart of the city. The new building plays well against PPG Place, which I just continue to love more as the years go by. Philip Johnson did such a clever thing by surrounding the tower with smaller buildings of various heights. Works so well with old Pittsburgh's dense urban fabric.

here in Tampa, our new downtown additions consist of two 20 story condo towers perched on whole-block, ten story plain concrete parking garages. At street level, it's all parking entrances and exits - pretty boring.

Not bad at all. A solidly contemporary design. Looks great with the rest of downtown.

Look at how sheer the glass cutain wall is on the left corner. You can see through both walls. This should be a very luminous building at night. The whole design seems very light-handed, so to speak. It makes the other PNC Tower, behind and to the right, seem almost clunky and heavy by comparison.

You're right; I've seen other very sheer highrises that have that same effect. I love this tower. It's very modern, just what Pittsburgh needs to add to its already large variety of architecture.

These were all great shots. That last one surprised me because it shows just how much the facade facing the camera is really articulated and has set backs, rather than a sheer wall. It blends perfectly with its tightly packed location.

Also, that street scene it just so Pittsburgh and makes me miss the city. Such a jumble of activity. Here in Tampa, the downtown streets are pretty much deserted and desolate.

Since Pittsburgh won last night, I'm sure Steelers fans will liven up our town big time for the Super Bowl.

I've been following this building for some time now. Love it, and love your city. I might have to come down and see it first hand sometime soon.

/\ That's the plan. There is a good firm in Pittsburgh I applied to last year that I might try again this year...so we'll see.

Pittsburgh was rockin' all last night (I think some areas still are). There was a visible increase in the police force, but for the most part I think everyone was pretty peaceable.

Some more shots for you guys - I had to go back to get a closer look. I'm loving this building more and more each day; it's just the catalyst that area needs and it establishes a great conversation with the surrounding tall buildings. The atrium/entrance area is coming along quickly now, and it looks like there was some underground work happening with the sewers and pipes.

(didn't get a picture of it, but there was a guy down in the manhole too)

23 Floors never looked so good!
