Had anyone heard of Commonwealth Place Condos? I don't ever remember reading anything about it on here, maybe I just missed that post. Anyway for those, like me that haven't heard about them here is the info.

They are located at 159 E 800 S.
The are 1 bed, 1 bath, + a den and includes indoor covered parking, priced from $149,900 - $159,900

Those are cute! they do however, need to xeriscape that plot of grass in front of them. The dead grass is definitely no buono.
I think they should do something with some Agave Harvardianas and some Yucca Faxaonianas with a few Sedums. That way they would only have to water once every six to eight weeks and they would have a much nicer plot of land.

I was just reading through a market report on Yahoo Finance and I must say that I am encouraged by this piece of it:

"It's a shortened week with markets closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. And Tuesday some of investors' attention will be diverted to Washington with the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama.

The new administration could give stocks a bounce, market watchers say, as Obama prepares to dispense the second half of the government's $700 billion financial bailout fund and awaits passage of an $825 billion stimulus package that is fast making its way through Congress."

That $825 billion stimulus passage is key to our survival here in Utah. Without it, I fear that our economy will go the way of the rest of the nation. I find that statement encouraging, though it is a bit vague. What do they mean by "fast making its way through"? Does anyone know just how close this thing is to being pushed through? Percentage wise, about how far would you say it is from going through? Hopefully 60-70% of the way.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

No, I'm talking about the $825 bil stimulus for infrastructure, tax breaks, etc that Obama is pushing through - not the $750 bil bank bailout. This one is going to help us on a local level - not bail out the wealthy who mismanaged our economy like the first one did. This one will help jump-start many of our suspended projects here in Utah.

Speeking of Salt Lake City photos, can anyone who knows a little about photography (or photoshop) explain to me how these four pictures can be of the same skyline and same mountains? It seems that the mountains have thier tall days, and they have their short days.

These pictures are taken from the same angle, just different distances. The mountains appear larger in the photos taken from further away. Some skylines were zoomed in on, others were not. In the second and last photos, the size ratio of the mountains to the skyline is about what one sees with the naked eye from the 600 North freeway exit.

If you support the stimulus package, I entreat you to do more than just cross your fingers and hope it passes. It probably won't find any support amongst the Utah congressional delegation, so you should be sure that your elected officials know how you feel about this issue. If we want to sway some of those votes, we need to make our voices heard.

Yeah, Tower 1 will definately be a welcome addition from this angle. I'm thinking that 222 will look impressive, with a decent amount of the top of the Well Fargo peaking out above. I still don't have an exact image in my head of The Regent from this angle. From here I'm guessing it will be covered by Tower 1.

I think the regent will stick out a little from behind the Beneficial Life Tower on the right side.

As the camera zooms in, your depth of field decreases and brings further objects closer to the subject of focus. So vice versa when you're zoomed out; the depth increases and it seems as if the background is further.
